Parameters in .xml test definition files?

Hi,
I was going through a few .xml test definition files in the etc/typedef directory and I encountered a few which have a 'displayMultiplier' parameter. I haven't seen any mention of this parameter in either the user's guide or in the developer's guide. What is the purpose of this parameter?

Also, is there a document of any kind that describes the various parameters and xml tags that can be used in such files?
