Hi,
I have quick question about "Action For Deleted Tests", I have deleted some tests from my router such as "*Packets In" and "*Packets Out" and schedule polling for router every 7 days and set "Action For Deleted Tests" to "Delete & Log" for some reason traverse adds these deleted tests back into monitor tests list after every schedule polling :mad:. How can completely delete these test and force router not to poll these deleted tests ever again?
Is this a bug in 4.8 and fixed in new version or I’m not following proper steps to configure?
please help....

It sounds like you have "Add" or "Add & Log" option enabled for "Action For New Tests" criteria, which is telling the (re)discovery engine to add newly discovered tests. Assuming you do want to automatically provision new tests but exclude Packets In/Out tests from the scheduled discovery, you can use a custom application profile:
Log into the Web Application
Navigate to Administration -> Other
Click on Application Profiles
Select "Cisco Router/Switch" (or any other suitable) profile; Click "Update"
Provide a suitable name for the new profile, like "Cisco Router w/o Packet Metrics"
From the list of test categories on right, select "(snmp) Network Interface: Packets Transmitted" and click on "<<" button
Click on "Save/Update"
Navigate to Administration -> Devices
Click on "Update" for the device in question
Under "Enable Test Parameter Rediscovery" section, select "Cisco Router w/o Packet Metrics" profile
Click on "Submit"
Now when the scheduled discovery runs, any Packets In/Out tests identified will be ignored. You can also disable discovery of such tests on a global basis using following steps:
Log into the Web Application as Superuser
Navigate to Administration -> User-class
Click on "Default Thresholds & Actions" for the class used for the department with devices in question
From the "Test Category" drop-down, select "snmp"
From the "Available Test Category" list, select "Network Interface: Packets Transmitted" and click on ">>" button
From the list above, uncheck "Discover Test" option for same test category
Click on "Update Thresholds and Actions"
This setting is applied for all devices in that department (and other departments based on this user-class, if any) for insruct the discovery engine to exclude Packets In/Out tests altogether.

Rajib,
I already have "Delete & Log" for my routers not "Add" or "Add & Log" option enabled for "Action For New Tests" criteria. But thanks for your feed back and I will try your alternate option as "custom application profile".
Let's if that helps....
Thanks,
AGZ
