Would like to have the option to place devices in folders or say sort by one of the tags and have a folder automatically created for that tag. As the number of devices increase, this would make them more manageable. I realize I could achieve this using containers, but the containers are used to show service availability .. not for device management.

If I understand this correctly, you are looking for a way to group a number of devices into folders that would still be shown under Status -> Devices view, is that correct? As you pointed out, this can be accomplished through containers and containers can be for service definition as well as device organization alike. So you could have a top level container "Services" and create various "business service" containers while place devices by category/tag under a top level "devices" container. I am trying to differenciate the feature set and views of a set of rule based device containers vs. folders with devices in my mind.

Does anyone have any thoughts regarding this feature request?

I was wanting the ability to create folders for managability purposes, mainly under Administration but Status would be good also. Having folders for routers, switches, windows servers, Linux servers, etc would allow me to more easily find things. The use of tags for this was just an idea ... have an option to turn on "Create Folders using Tags" or something similar. Or just allow me to create a folder and then group devices by folder.
